House help shot dead in Ruai house robbery

A house help was shot dead on Wednesday evening in Ruai’s Chokaa Village by thugs who stole property from her employer’s house.
The thugs shot Celestine Juma Nyapuo, 17, twice on the head before making away with cash, electronics and other household goods.
The house help had just returnedd from picking her employer’s child from school.

A cartridge left at the murder scene. 

Kayole OCPD, Joseph Ndegwa said the incident was reported by one Maurice Odongo, a brother to the deceased, who works in a neighboring shopping centre.
“Mr Odongo said that he went to the house only to find Celestine lying dead in a pool of blood. Her employer’s two children aged two and three years were also in the house but were not hurt,” Mr Ndegwa said.
The assailants made away with Sh36,000 in cash, a Sony Bravia TV set, Sony CD changer system, and two 13Kg gas cylinders.
“We cannot tell exactly what time the incidence occurred but it was reported to the police at around 8:00pm. Police who arrived at the scene found two empty cartridges and a bullet head” Mr Ndegwa said.
