Denzel Washington and Paula Patton “Cheating Scandal”?

“Denzel Washington’s already shaky 31-year marriage has been rocked by reports that he’s cozying up to Hollywood hottie Paula Patton as she faces a messy divorce,” reports the National Enquirer.
The tabloid refers to “an Internet website” that started a rumor that Washington “was making a move” on his onetime co-star when he “reached out” to her after she and Robin Thicke announced their split.
“Friends fear the cheating scandal will be another blow to his marriage with his long-suffering wife Pauletta,” says the Enquirer.
A so-called “insider” tells the magazine that Pauletta “confronted Denzel and demanded to know if he was having an affair with Paula. He denied it, and said she just wasn’t his type.”
Of course, the Enquirer has no evidence whatsoever of an affair, except for a “source” who says that when the two filmed the 2013 movie 2 Guns, “People in Hollywood were whispering that Denzel and Paula’s relationship seemed highly inappropriate, considering they were both married.”
It’s awfully convenient that “people in Hollywood” said nothing of the sort at the time, but that it’s instead coming out now that Patton’s marriage is in trouble.
There is NO truth to the rumor linking Washington and Patton.
A rep for Washington has shot down the report.
