Designers have been clamoring to design Kim Kardashian‘s wedding dress for her lavish ceremony to Kanye West on May 24. Kim’s is very close with Vera Wang, so it would make sense for her to wear one of her gorgeous creations, right? Our insider tells us that Kim has multiple custom gowns that she’s deciding between but that Riccardo Tisci, the Creative Director for Givenchy, and good friend of Kanye’s, will be designing the second dress she wears that evening.
Who will Kim wear on her big day?
“She’s actually deciding between a custom Lanvin, and Monique Lhuillier gown,” our insider tells us. “She wants to feel like a princess, but have it be form-fitting too. Don’t expect some poofy dress like she wore when she married Kris [Humphries]. Think ultra chic. Kanye is involved in every part of the process.”
Keep in mind, Kim wore Lanvin on the cover of Vogue and she was stunning!

We’ve also just learned from our insider that “you’ll be seeing their wedding pics in Vogue this summer.”In Anna Wintour‘s editor’s letter, she defended putting Kimye on the cover:
Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that.” Lastly, Anna writes that Vogue always looks to feature those who define culture at the given moment — the people who stir things up and influence the world — before joking, “I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)
