Idris Elba turns on the charm at basketball tournament in Texas and poses with his adoring fans


Idris Elba showed that he's a true sports fan on Saturday as he attended a college basketball conference tournament championship game in Houston, Texas.The 41-year-old British actor caught the final game of the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament held at the Toyota Center.
Idris dressed casually for the sporting event in faded jeans and tucked in black long-sleeved sweater.

The Wire star, who is a longtime fan of the Arsenal football team and a keen cricket fan, was on hand for the title game pitting Texas Southern University versus in-state rival Prairie View A&M University.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference is made up of historically black Southern universities and Idris was there to lend his support.
 Idris was named the brand spokesman of Toyota's Avalon car last year and the Japanese automaker was a tournament sponsor.

He was joined at the tournament by 35-year-old Tatyana Ali best known for her childhood role as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.
The former Love That Girl! star has been a supporter of the Toyota Green Initiative that has worked with America's historically black colleges to promote eco-friendly alternatives.
Crisis actor Lance Gross, 32, also attended the tournament championship game.

Idris earlier this month attended a Westminster Abbey tribute for former South Africa president Nelson Mandela who died in December at age 95.
The actor played the former president and anti-apartheid revolutionary in the biopic Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.
Idris can next be seen in the crime thriller No Good Deed due out in September and The Gunman with Javier Bardem and Sean Penn due out later this year.
