The actor, who received several nominations and a BAFTA Best Actor gong for his role in 12 Years A Slave, wore jogging bottoms and a fleece-lined anorak to walk his dog with girlfriend Sari Mercer, on Wednesday.
Chiwetel, 36, had a smile on his face as he relaxed back into life, and took a break from his busy acting schedule.

His model girlfriend looked ready to work out in her running shorts, vest tops and hoody as they strolled down a Beverly Hills avenue.
Sari, 26, has been accompanying Chiwetel to most of the awards events and ceremonies, as was there at the Dolby Theatre to console him when he lost out on the Best Actor Oscar to Matthew McConaughey.
But he’ll soon be looking forward to the release of his next project, Z For Zachariah, with Margot Robbie and Chris Pine.

The story follows a sixteen-year-old girl named Ann Burden, who survives a nuclear war in a small American town.
Lots of scenes were filmed in New Zealand, at Washpen Falls in Methven, but sadly Pine was arrested for drunk-driving while on location.
According to stuff.co.nz, the actor was leaving a wrap party for the production in the country when he was pulled over.
Casey Crawford, manager of the Blue Pub, where the wrap party was held, said the star brought his model girlfriend Iris Bjork Johannesdottir with him to the event and ‘seemed fine’ before he left at about 2.30am, according to The Press.

In a New Zealand police statement, it stated that: ‘[Pine] has been charged with driving with excess blood alcohol and will appear in the Ashburton District Court on Monday 17 March.’
For Ejiofor, he will also be awaiting the beginning of production on Triple Nine, which tells the story of a group of gang members and a corrupt cop, who plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull of their biggest heist yet across town.
